Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

Flow accounts are secured with passkeys (WebAuthn) rather than passwords. You are responsible for safeguarding the device and authenticator that hold your passkey, and for any activity that occurs under your account. A blockchain wallet address is derived from your passkey; you are responsible for actions taken with it. Notify us promptly if you believe your account or device has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Cheat, exploit bugs, use unauthorized third-party software, bots, or automation, or otherwise gain an unfair advantage in the game.
• Harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm other users, or post content that is illegal, hateful, infringing, or obscene.
• Disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, our servers, or other users' accounts.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Services, except where this restriction is prohibited by law or permitted by an applicable open-source license.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Services except as expressly permitted, or use the Services to violate any applicable law or the rights of others.

We may investigate and take action — including removing content, reclaiming usernames, or suspending or terminating accounts — for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or harms other users or Flow.

4. User content

You may provide content such as a username and avatar. You retain ownership of the content you provide, and you grant Flow a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use that content as needed to operate and promote the Services. You are responsible for the content you provide and represent that you have the rights to it and that it does not violate these Terms or the rights of others. Usernames must not be offensive, misleading, or infringing, and we may reclaim or change them.

5. Wallets & blockchain

The Services include experimental blockchain wallet and identity features. Flow is not a bank, exchange, custodian, or financial advisor, and we do not hold or control your funds or private keys. On-chain transactions are public, permanent, and irreversible, and you are solely responsible for them and for any taxes or fees that apply. Blockchain networks are operated by third parties and may be subject to outages, forks, or changes outside our control. Nothing in the Services constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

6. Intellectual property

The Services, including their software, design, text, graphics, and the Flow name and logos, are owned by Flow or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. Some components of the Services are made available under open-source licenses, which govern your use of those components.

7. Third-party services

The Services may rely on or link to third-party services (for example, blockchain networks, email delivery, and infrastructure providers). We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

8. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Services are under active development and may be experimental; we do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any data will be preserved. You use the Services at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flow will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, funds, or digital assets, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Flow from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.

11. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and may request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the Services or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will continue to apply.

12. Governing law & disputes

Flow is operated as an independent, global project and is not tied to a single national jurisdiction. We ask that you first try to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting [email protected]; we will do the same. You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to you in your own location, and you agree not to use the Services where doing so would be unlawful.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
